Mufulira PF MP Majory Mwape
Mufulira Patriotic Front (PF) member of Parliament Majory Mwape has resigned from the opposition to join the ruling MMD. Ms Mwape said she has decided to resign from the PF because the MMD is executing various development projects across the country which are benefitting citizens. This is according to the Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC) news monitored in Lusaka last night. Ms Mwape said she will support President Banda in this year’s elections. “When I joined the PF, I wanted to contribute to improving living standards in Mufulira but this has failed because I was working with the opposition. “I have seen a lot of development projects being implemented in various parts of the country because of the good leadership exhibited by President Banda and his administration. I have considered that the only way we can develop Mufulira is by working with the government and not the opposition,”she said. Ms Mwape urged the people of Mufulira to vote for Mr Banda in this year’s elections. She said President Banda should be given another five years to complete the development projects he has initiated countrywide.
